Special Day & Me

Hiya! It's that time of year where I begin to organize all of my winter things. Yes, I finally started organizing my closet. (I've been procrastinating.) Somewhere between taking my tenth break and eating a baked sweet potato, I found my gray turtle neck sweater from Special Day. I've never worn it. I was so excited. I was so excited that I remembered the moment I bought the sweater two years ago. It had the price tag on it and everything. So, here I am a few days later. It's about 36°F and I am quite warm. The sweater itself is comfortable and snug. I love it. The sweater (I used it as a shirt) might even be my go to when it's freezing out.

 Until next time.

Back to Autumn

Autumn is on it's way! I am so happy about this. My favorite weather is Sweater Weather. Every season there is a signature look, style, design, clothing, etc. I've seen bomber jackets become popular again. My favorite thing right now is suede ankle booties and black skinny jeans. But there is a lot more things about this fall season that I love and it's down below. We must do the most with what we have. This fall is perfect the perfect time to learn to make the most out of everything we have. The minimal chic will work great.

On The Road Again: Pittsburgh

On The Road Again: Pittsburgh is definitely a highlight of 2015. Icona Pop performed. I admit that I was one of those people who were questioning 1D's judgement on opening acts. I will never again question them. Icona Pop was amazing. I was shocked. I only knew one song from them and after they were done performing, I became an instant fan. This is my second time seeing One Direction live. I can't wait for the next time they go on tour. While they are on their much deserved break, I will be enjoying their fifth  album "Made In The A.M." and secretly missing my faves.

Until next time,

All the love. xx

At the end of July...

White Long Sleeve Blouse: Lush Clothing // Similar herehere
White Shorts: Lush Clothing // Similar here & here
As of the 25th of July, I am officially twenty one years of age! This year I decided to move out of my comfort zone and dress age appropriate. I'm so used to my teenage style that I didn't realize the beauty of age and the clothes that come with it. It's summer and it's super hot. Therefore, I went with a pair of white shorts and a blouse with a pair of Ankle Booties. I must say that I am blessed. My birthday consisted of two birthday parties. Both cakes were made by the bakers at Valencia bakery in Manhattan. Though the frosting is really sweet, the cake itself is delicious. I'm thankful for everything that was done to make my day special. I'm thankful for all the love and support I receive. My first order of business as a twenty one year old is to make breakfast. So, until next time, ciao! All the love. Darianne

Birthday Wishlist

Birthday Wishlist
My birthday has arrived. I'm so excited! This Saturday I will be 21 years old. In honor of my birthday, I created a wishlist. I didn't really want anything but to have a good time. Still, I can make a wish. It is my birthday after all. Until then, fingers crossed. xoxo Darianne.

Style Crush: Behati

Style Crush: Behati Prinsloo

Summer is officially half way over! That's good news for me. I'm not a fan of the heat. Still, I celebrate summer. Less clothes and more freedom to things you love. No one has to walk around freezing. Who doesn't love a good pair of shorts and a t-shirt? I love comfort and style put together in one outfit. That's why Behati is my official summer style crush. Behati wears band merch often. If you've read or saw any of my earlier posts, you'll know that band merch is my thing. She pairs the band merch with shorts, flannels, boots, and a shoulder bag. You can even carry this look into the winter and pair it with jeans instead of the shorts. It's perfect for comfort and everyday street style. For this style crush, I created my own outfit and kept Behati as a muse. I think she's awesome and her style is just the same.

Fall Out Boy

Hey, everyone! The past week has been crazy! From seeing Fall Out Boy to the celebration of my Puerto Rican heritage. It has just been a blast! Fall Out Boy is a dream come true. They released their debut album when I was seven. The seven year old me had a crush on Pete Wentz. The now twenty year old me was mentally freaking out. (I had to keep my cool.) On Thursday morning, I woke up and managed to make it to the Today show by 12:00 p.m. I was the very first one in line. I waited for my friend who had arrived by 3-ish. People began arriving a few hours after that. I began taking to people on the line. It's always nice to make friends in any fandom. That's what I tried to do. The night was spent with a slew of things. The first and most annoying one was me complaining about my high metabolism. I was hungry every other second. My friend was pretty much done with me. I managed to meet a couple of people who had fan passes and met two new girls on the general admission line. There was even a cool mom there with her daughters. By morning, I was cranky. I didn't let it get to me. I kept cool. The V.I.P line was let in first. One of the people who ran the whole operation found out how long I'd been there and decided to let my friend and I in before the people with the fan passes. The moment I stepped into the crowd, The band stepped on the stage. They were going to do a few practice runs before the actual show.

I came to the conclusion that Patrick Stump is a million percent huggable. I just wanted to hug him. He's adorable. His voice is truly under appreciated. It's amazing. There just aren't word to describe it. Pete Wentz is hotter than ever. When the crew was testing the instruments, they didn't touch the bass. I'm a bassist. That's what I wanted to hear. When he got on stage, and messed with the bass a bit, my inner fangirl freaked out. Andy Hurley is so underrated. He's an amazing drummer. I wanted to hug him too. He took his shirt off and I forgot where I was for a second. Finally, Joe Trohman was just as laid back as ever. He definitely has a chill button. He plays so smoothly. I loved every second of it. P.S. If you'd like to check out the videos from the show, you can check out my Youtube.

Seize the Day

Flannel: Forever 21 // Similar Flannel
Ever made plans, then later found out that you're missing the one thing that can actually help you go through with those plans? Well, that's pretty much how Thursday went. Every summer, Good Morning America has this concert series called "Summer Stage" that allow people to see their favorite artists for free. I was so excited! Ed Sheeran was scheduled to be there the following morning. I had everything planned out. My friend and I were going to go to the place earlier. We were going to wait there until we were able to get in. Then we'd enjoy the show. That never happened. We were missing the key ingredient to actually having a good time. A ticket. GMA had later released information about the show. Anyone who attends needs a ticket. Of course, they're free. We just didn't know. We were so mad about the entire situation, we laughed. What?! Does that even make sense?  So, with this new found information, we ended up on this field in Central Park. We had this small speaker and we used it for our music. We listened to all our faves. We posed for pictures. We sang. We danced. We had a good time. That's all that really matters. In the end, no moment was wasted. We didn't get to see Ed live. I still haven't watched any videos of the performance. All I know is that we took a not-so-good situation and made it better. Remember: Carpe diem. Seize the day. Never let it get away from you. All the love. Darianne xx P.S. I still wish I could've seen him live. That's be a dream.
